According to Dr. Oz, 16,000 women die from this cancer every year. The reason for this is that 80% of women discover the cancer too late. If diagnosed early there is a 90% chance of survival vs. the 20-30% chance of survival if found too late.
The problem with ovarian cancer is that the symptoms are so common. In fact it was kind of scary for me to watch this segment because I have been suffering from a lot of these symptoms throughout this year. Like the 31 year old on the show that ended up with ovarian cancer my doctor always tells me too that I am way too young to worry about my symptoms.
Here is the list of symptoms for ovarian cancer;
Bloating
Increased abdominal size
Abdominal pain
Pelvic pain
Dificulty eating
Feeling full quickly when you eat
According to the show if you have these symptoms and they persist for a few weeks go to the doctor. If you get told that you are too young then be persistent and push for the testing that you deserve. There is lots of misdiagnosis when it comes to ovarian cancer and it’s a simple ultrasound that can detect it. Fight for your right to live.

I know its like 1 more thing
I know its like 1 more thing to worry about. I think this is part of the reason why women are getting so ill. There is too much on our plates to think and do.

Thank you for the great information. It's pretty scary to think about this. It's like you don't want to think about it but sadly we really need to.
Very informative. Thank you for posting this.
