Enfagrow has produced a flavored toddler formula. Flavors include chocolate and strawberry and the target is children aged 1-3. There is a huge concern over diabetes and obesity.
What do you think about this new formula? Should children be taught to accept more natural flavors? In my opinion if you really get down to it children should be getting most of their nutrition from food at this point. This formula could then be used as a treat.
I also thought that moms were supposed to be giving their children whole milk at this age due to the milk fat and brain growth. Hmm.

This is ridiculous.
American Society has already set up a society of rich, fat flavorable food. Mmmmmmm . . . hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup, heaps of saturated fat . . . it is yummy but it will kill you. Why would we want to set our children up with programming for more sweet foods as infants and toddlers?
The government is finally recognizing that we need to stop targeting our children for failure and is working to enact laws prohibiting the marketing of junk/fast/fatty foods to children.
A White House report warns, “The childhood obesity epidemic in America is a national health crisis.” The review by the Task Force on Childhood Obesity says one out of every three children is overweight or obese. This is a problem.
