Its official I now have a love hate relationship with vaccines. I wish we didn’t have to have any of this mystery goo injected into our bodies or our babies. Darned if you do and darned if you don’t.
Government officials asked doctors to stop using Rotarix a vaccine used against Rotavirus today. The vaccine is contaminated with material from a pig virus. Man this brings a lot of questions to mind. Here is an official statement that doesn’t make me feel any better about the situation.
"There is no evidence at this time that this material poses a safety risk," Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Margaret Hamburg told reporters in a conference call. The drug was first approved in 2008 so in my opinion families who have given this vaccine to their children don’t know the long term issues this vaccine could cause either.
About 1 million children in the United States have received the vaccine. GlaxoSmithKline who makes the vaccine emphasized Monday that the pig virus is not known to cause illness in humans, saying "it is found in everyday meat products and is frequently eaten with no resulting disease or illness."
Now there are viruses in our food supply too. I seriously need to compile a list of all the things that I have heard is in American meat products other than just meat. We are all one giant human experiment, I swear.

scary
Where can I find out more about this? Where was it distributed? How are we gonna know if an affected child has something wrong due to that vaccine?
The meat they 'say' it is found in is also cooked and usually eaten by older kids and adults-so yeah, it THAT may not be an issue...but in a vaccine??? Wouldn't that virus be shot raw into an infant...
This stuff scares the poopy out of me.

Anothrer reason to avoid vaccines
With all of the issues we are experiencing, and with how quickly the government is allowing vaccines to be manufactured, all of us should be wary of what is being offered.
It is so interesting how long it takes the FDA to approve certain drugs, and how quickly they are willing to push these things through.
