Remember when mom used to say “Don’t sit too close to the TV it’s bad for your health”? Well there used to be some truth to this. In the 1950’s TV’s actually emitted a small amount of radiation that could damage your body a bit.
On the other hand with new technology our current TV’s will only strain your eyes if you sit to close. Therefore we current generation of moms can now say “Don’t sit too close to the TV or it will strain your eyes, Dr Oz says so.”

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of wellnessdaily.com. All opinions are 100% mine.
We have a new online community that collects the latest news, healthy living blogs, expert opinions, easy and nutritious recipes. Before you stop reading because you are thinking that this is just another health community there is one feature at Wellness Daily that I really like, the videos.
Wellness Daily has videos on a variety of topics including weight loss, healthy eating, exercise and mental well-being. I really miss the days when TV had the 30 minute workouts going all morning. I loved the fact that at any point during the day I could click on the TV and workout or get new moves to add to my gym routine. This site has lots of quick videos giving workout, yoga and proper form tips.
Some of the health sites I have been to are hard to navigate and I miss a lot of information. Wellness Daily has a simple layout and all the information is easy to find. I like that Wellness Daily has a most popular section so I can quickly find the most popular health information rather than searching through all the information on the main page.
Also, the site is sponsored by Jennie-O. If you like their products check out the coupon section on the site. Don’t forget to sign up and enter the Twitter contest for a chance to win a WellnessDaily.com prize package which includes coupons for a year-long supply of Jennie-O Turkey Store product and a one-year gym membership, valued at $1,250. The promotion ends today.
For more information on the promotion and to check out the site head here www.wellnessdaily.com They have quite a few videos up right now showing tips from Jillian Michaels.

It’s estimated that at least 200,000 people die in the United States every year from a heart attack — and that many of those deaths might have been prevented if someone had sought medical help immediately.
If you are with someone who suddenly collapses, stops breathing, or is unresponsive, start performing hands-only CPR at 100 chest presses a minute with minimal interruptions. It’s just as effective as standard CPR.
Here is an excellent quick article on what to do if someone has a heart attack.
